// What live action role play is

It's not a board game. It's another reality.

LARP (Live Action Role Playing) is exactly that: no dice on a table, you step into a character's skin and the adventure unfolds around you, in real time. Sets, costumes, actors and missions combine into a fully immersive experience.

Total immersion

You dive straight into a dark sci-fi world. Everything around you is part of the story.

Your character

You get a role, a backstory and a goal within the crew. You decide how you play it.

Real missions

You solve puzzles, make decisions and face danger on board, in real time.

No experience needed

Open to every level. You don't need to know anything about role play: we guide you from minute one.

Experiencia RPG is one of the live action role play events in Argentina with immersive production: we combine LARP (live action role playing), science fiction storytelling, combat with boffers and blasters, sets and live acting so you live your character from start to finish. If you're looking for live action role play games in Buenos Aires, a LARP experience for beginners, or a sci-fi adventure for groups and friends, this is your place.

// Frequently asked questions

Before boarding

What is live action role play (LARP)?

LARP (Live Action Role Playing) means exactly that: you step into a character's skin and the adventure unfolds around you in real time, with sets, costumes, actors and missions.

Do I need role play experience?

Not at all. It's open to every experience level. We explain everything before you start and stay with you throughout the mission.

Is there a minimum age?

The event is designed for people 18 and older. That said, minors can take part if they come accompanied by a responsible adult.

Do I have to dress up?

It's optional. Costumes add to the immersion, but you can come as you are. If you'd like, we can give you ideas based on your character.

Do I need to bring weapons or gear?

You don't need to bring anything. Boffers (foam weapons) and blasters are obtained in character during the game and are already included with your ticket.

Is there a referral raffle?

It depends on the event. Ask us by message, on Instagram or at larp.latam@gmail.com, and we'll confirm whether it applies to the next mission and what the rules are.

Where do I get tickets?

Tickets go on sale online when we announce the next mission, and spots are limited. Follow us on Instagram to find out first or write to us at larp.latam@gmail.com.

The same experience, for your team

Your team solves the mission together, or it doesn't solve it at all.

Tell us how many people and what date you have in mind: we'll reply by email with a proposal. Prefer to see what it's about first? Check out the games.

We brought the idea of live action role play to the browser: cooperative games where each person holds part of the information. Communicating, coordinating and deciding together is the only way to win. For team building, onboarding and training.

// The games

Five missions, five ways to work as a team

Every game has scenarios, adjustable difficulty and a debrief designed to talk through what happened.

Communication 4 to 10 people 15 to 60 min

Blind Operations

No one has the full picture.

An emergency station and five roles: whoever operates the controls can't see the instructions, whoever holds the procedures can't see the room. Only by explaining clearly and listening well can the mission be stabilized.

  • Communication
  • Active listening
  • Coordination
How to play → Blind Operations
Analysis 4 to 20 people 20 to 90 min

Knowledge Files

Each department holds a piece of the truth.

Emails, notes and records split between departments. The team shares evidence on a board, connects it, rebuilds the timeline and presents the root cause of what went wrong.

  • Analysis
  • Organizational knowledge
  • Problem solving

Systems thinking 4 to 20 people 20 to 90 min

Dependency Network

Your decision changes everyone else's work.

Marketing, Sales, Legal, Operations and Billing connected as one system. Each round the teams allocate people, budget and priorities, and the simulation shows where the bottleneck forms.

  • Systems thinking
  • Prioritization
  • Cross-team collaboration
How to play → Dependency Network
Leadership 4 to 20 people 20 to 90 min

Crisis Room

Deciding under pressure, as a team.

A strategic client cancels. Each role receives a confidential dossier and the committee decides in rounds: every vote moves cash, morale, quality, timelines, reputation and the client relationship.

  • Decision making
  • Negotiation
  • Working under pressure

Coordination under pressure 4 to 10 people 20 to 60 min

Profundidad Silenciosa

Five stations, one helmet.

A submarine crew: whoever holds the helm can't see the map, whoever listens to the sonar can't touch the controls, and the damage-control manual belongs to yet another station. Navigating silently, crossing the minefield, handling cascading repairs and neutralizing the target only happens by talking.

// Academy

Academy: learn by playing

A new line of cooperative games with a different goal: not just getting the team to know each other, but getting each person to learn and demonstrate real, concrete security knowledge. Same engine, same asymmetric roles, same Game Master — except here, every match gets graded.

// Why one more quiz isn't enough

A quiz measures whether you remember. The game measures whether you do it.

Applying it, not recalling it

A multiple-choice quiz measures whether you can spot the right answer in a list. The game puts a real message in front of you, with a deadline ticking down: what gets measured is what you do, not what you answer.

Every match is a different shift

Quiz questions get memorized: the second attempt is the same exam. Every match draws its own messages from a seed — no two shifts are ever the same.

With a real cost for getting it wrong

On a quiz, a wrong answer costs nothing. Here every decision moves a meter, for better or worse — and it gets talked through in the debrief, without singling anyone out.

It's graded on what you do, not what you answer

Every level of the curriculum defines concrete competencies — reporting a phishing email, verifying through another channel, reading an authentication header. It's passed when your own decisions, inside the game, demonstrated them in at least one match. A bot can be on your team, but it never passes the level for you.

// The curriculum

A real curriculum, from beginner to advanced

Levels and signals come from a fourteen-module security curriculum: every match raises the difficulty with subtler signals and less time to decide.

Beginner

The most visible signals: a generic greeting, spelling mistakes, excessive urgency, a domain that wouldn't fool anyone who looked twice.

Basic

Time to start inspecting: a link whose text doesn't match its destination, a double-extension attachment, a request that skips the usual process.

Intermediate

Vendor fraud, domains that look almost real, spoofed senders, authentication headers that fail.

Advanced

Homoglyphs, an internal account compromised so well it passes every technical control, and cloned voice notes.

Hora Cero

Someone already clicked.

An incident has already happened and the team is the response cell: contain, verify, preserve evidence, notify and recover, with the clock running and events escalating.

  • Incident response
  • Blameless reporting culture

Punto Ciego

Today's budget covers fixing half of it.

An office floor before a surprise audit: vulnerabilities everywhere, but the time and budget only stretch to fix some of them. Prioritizing by risk is the lesson.

  • Password hygiene and MFA
  • Physical security
  • Risk prioritization
  • Up to 30 minutes per match
  • Replayable: every match draws its own content
  • Bots that propose, never decide

You can also play solo, with bots — Bots cover the roles you're missing, investigate and propose — they never decide for you. In a knowledge game that's not a minor detail: if the bot solved everything, you'd pass without having learned anything.

// How the platform works

From your people spreadsheet to the first mission, in five steps

  1. Load your organization

    People, departments and job roles: by hand, with Excel or CSV, or via API. Each organization gets its own space and its own branding.

  2. Set up the session

    Choose the game, the scenario, the difficulty and who facilitates as Game Master. You can schedule it for a date.

  3. Invite with a link

    Each person gets a personal magic link. No passwords: they enter the lobby, pick an avatar and mark themselves ready.

  4. They play in real time

    Each role sees a different part. They talk, share, decide. The Game Master pauses, gives hints and sends live messages.

  5. They wrap up with a debrief

    Results, objectives met, key moments and each person's activity, to talk through what worked and what didn't.

// The golden rule

Each role sees something the others don't.

That's why no one person can solve it alone. The game doesn't reward whoever knows the most — it rewards the team that best shares what it knows.

Operator Sees: Controls
Analyst Sees: Metrics
Navigator Sees: Map and routes
Specialist Sees: Procedures
Coordinator Sees: Objectives and time
Game Master Sees: Everything, live

// Play solo

Team not complete? Play with bot teammates.

Pick a game, a role and a level. Bots fill the remaining spots, see only what their role would see and share it over chat like a person would. Great for practicing before a session or for getting to know the games.

  • They play by the same rules and with the same partial information as you
  • They ask you for data by name when they need it
  • The game's difficulty is chosen separately from the bots' level
BOT

Novice

Slow to share, makes mistakes and corrects itself. You have to lead.

BOT

Competent

Shares what it sees, asks for what it needs and follows good ideas.

BOT

Expert

Fast and precise: ideal for learning how to play well.

// During the game

Everything in real time, with someone in charge.

Asymmetric information

The server filters what each role sees. No one can win without communicating.

Live Game Master

A panel with every team's status: pause, extra time, hints and messages.

Automatic reconnection

If someone loses their connection, they come back with their role and progress intact.

Fair rules

Scores, times and wins are all decided on the server, never in the browser.

Nothing to install

Works in the browser, remote, in person or hybrid.

Isolated data

Each organization lives in its own data space, with an audit trail.

Timely alerts

The notification bell warns 24 h, 1 h and 10 min before each session, and when the lobby opens.

Bot teammates

If people are missing, the Game Master fills the spots with bots before starting.

// Who it's for

For People teams who want more than a talk.

Organizations of any size, each with its own space, its own branding and its own invitations. People sign in with a link; the People team manages everything from a panel.

Every organization, its own space. Isolated data, your own branding, and access from an address like /your-company.

Team building

Teams that really get to know each other when the mission depends on everyone.

Onboarding

New hires learn how information flows between departments by playing.

Training

Leadership, prioritization and communication practiced in concrete scenarios.

Cross-team diagnosis

The debrief shows where coordination breaks down before it happens for real.

// Questions from companies

What people usually ask us.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It's played from a computer's browser. People sign in with the link they get by email.

How many people can play?

From 4 up to 20 per session depending on the game, split into one or more teams playing at the same time.

Does it work for remote teams?

Yes. Everything happens in real time with team chat and general chat; it also works with the group in the same room.

What does the Game Master do?

Facilitates the experience: starts the game, follows each team's progress, pauses, adds time, sends hints and guides the final debrief.

What happens if someone disconnects?

They get a grace period to come back. On reconnecting they recover their role and the state of the game.

Can we play without the whole team?

Yes. Anyone can play solo with novice, competent or expert bots, and the Game Master can fill a session's empty spots with bots.

What do we get after playing?

Results by team, objectives met, key moments and statistics for the People team.

Why a quiz isn't enough to learn information security

Reading a lesson and answering ten multiple-choice questions measures whether you remember the right answer. It doesn't measure whether you apply it with a real email in front of you and your boss waiting. That's why Experiencia RPG's Academy solves it by playing.
